Wolf Camp is a relaxed, family-friendly campground with picnic tables, individual fire rings, hookups, restrooms and showers, plus an on-site café and outdoor seating. Sites sit in a meadow near a creek with frequent wildlife sightings and resident wolves that visitors often hear howling. Staff are consistently described as welcoming, and the setting is scenic with easy access to nearby hiking and Custer/ Mount Rushmore area attractions. Practical tradeoffs: the road in is winding, cell/GPS can be unreliable so call ahead for large rigs, and a few visitors mentioned occasional odors near service areas. Overall, clean and tranquil.
