What campers say

West Dolores Campground is a small, peaceful site along the West Dolores River with shady pine sites and several spots right by the water. The on-site host, Blaine, is frequently described as friendly and attentive. Facilities are basic but clean — vault/pit toilets only; there is potable water at the entrance and a trash bin, but no dump station. Some campsites have electrical hookups while others are primitive; reservations and first-come sites are available. Expect compact, wooded sites, wildlife like chipmunks, and posted bear precautions, so store food securely. Cell service may be unreliable.
