What campers say

Small, well-kept USFS campground of about 19 sites on the West Dolores River. Many sites are spacious and some sit right on the water, with wooden picnic tables, metal fire rings and easy river access for fishing. Bathrooms are vault/pit toilets that reviewers describe as clean and lighted. Water is available at spigots but a few visitors reported clarity/odor issues, so bring backup water if concerned. A volunteer host is regularly praised for upkeep. Electric hookups exist (often charged separately) and winter season reduces services. Expect limited cell service, occasional road traffic on County Rd 38, and a quiet, remote feel.
