Weldon Springs is a nice little park but the campground has fallen into disrepair due to state budget cuts. However we still enjoy camping here, and if you have a larger RV I'd recommend reservations or get there early for a pull-thru site or request one level for your size RV. They use ReserveAmerica for their reservations, but call first and talk to the ranger or camp host for recommendations. Many of the sites will accommodate a larger unit that ReserveAmerica states. There are a hand-full of 50 amp sites, all others are 30-amp, all have a fire ring and picnic table. There is a dump station on-site. There is a boat launch not far from the campground and a small restaurant that is seasonal. The park has a nice 2.5 mile hiking trail that goes around the entire lake.
