The grounds are generally maintained and popular for fishing and events. Practical tradeoffs: the Guadalupe has a noticeable current and swimmers should exercise caution; some visitors note occasional litter in spots, and wildlife (including snakes) can be present. Overall it’s a scenic, multi-use park well suited to families, anglers, and outdoor recreation.
