What campers say
Veterans Memorial Park is a large, well-kept 44-acre community space co-operated by local VFW and American Legion chapters. It hosts many events—bluegrass and fiddler gatherings, concerts, fireworks, parades, and occasional wrestling—and can accommodate large crowds. Facilities are basic but practical: an exhibition building, livestock fair barn, concession stand, restrooms with showers, and multiple RV/camper hookups for overnight visitors. A restored M47 Patton tank marks the entrance. The open grassy fields are good for walking dogs, cookouts, or informal sports, but there’s little shade or playground equipment and exit traffic can be heavy after big events.
