What campers say
Vaughan Woods is a peaceful, well-kept set of forest trails and riverfront paths offering a mix of easy, groomed walking (Bridle Path) and more rooty, up-and-down river sections (River Run). Trails are generally well marked with boardwalks, maps and benches; there’s a small playground, picnic tables, grills and the historic Hamilton house and garden to explore. Practical notes: parking is limited (two lots, one paid), a small donation (~$3) is often requested, and bathrooms are seasonal. Expect muddy or icy conditions in shoulder seasons, watch for exposed roots, and keep dogs leashed and cleaned up.
