What campers say

Tie City Campground is a rustic, budget-friendly forest loop with shaded, well-spaced sites that typically include picnic tables and fire rings. Facilities are basic—vault or pit toilets are provided and water may be limited or seasonal (some visitors report a hand pump, others none). The loop offers easy access to hiking and skiing trails and is reasonably close to Laramie for supplies. The dirt road can be rutted but is usually passable; some sites are pull-through while many are shorter back-ins. Expect occasional interstate noise and typical wildlife; bring standard safety precautions.
