What campers say
Small, well-kept municipal campground set in a bluff-lined bowl near downtown Lanesboro and the Root River bike trail. Sites are wooded and compact but accommodate modest RVs (about 28') and offer 20/30-amp electricity. Park amenities include a playground, pavilion, bandstand, small lake, and public restrooms with showers, plus easy walking access to shops, restaurants and scenic waterfalls/trails. Rates are economical (around $40/night). Practical tradeoffs: showers are coin-operated and sites are on the smaller side, and nearby school construction has occasionally caused early-morning noise. Overall a scenic, family-friendly base for fishing, biking and exploring.
