Sunrise Bay Campground sits on Nelson Lake and offers easy boat access, lakeside sites, a fish-cleaning house and a small office/shop. Owners are described as friendly and have been updating facilities; bathrooms and showers are consistently noted as clean. Amenities include docks, a game room and nearby ATV routes and local eateries. Sites are generally spacious but some are uneven and hookups can be positioned awkwardly, so extra hose and extension cord may be helpful. Lakeside spots can be soggy and the swim area is rocky/muddy rather than sandy; a few docks may need repair. Overall, a peaceful, family-friendly spot with practical rustic tradeoffs.
