What campers say

Springy Point Campground sits on a clear lakeshore with an attractive beach and easy access for paddlecraft; many visitors praise the clean, well-kept restrooms, free hot showers, and friendly camp hosts. Sites tend to be compact and close together, so larger tents or RVs may be tight, but lower sites offer lakefront views and short walks to the water. Expect seasonal limitations: the boat launch or swim areas can be closed when water is low or the grounds close early in the season. Some guests note nearby road or train noise and insects, but overall it’s favored for water-based camping and helpful staff.

📖 About This Campground

Springy Point Campground in Sagle Idaho (Sandpoint) offers 38 RV and tent camping sites on the shores of Pend Oreille River. The campground has 2 loops with sites all tucked in the trees. The park is located on a hillside so elevation changes are pretty steep limiting navigation and access to smaller RVs (although large RVs can fit with some care - the largest site is 45' long and there is only 1 of those; the remainder are 35' or less). Overall the park is best suited tent camping, truck camping and small RV camping. Trails lead down to the rivers edge where a swim beach is available along with a boat launch. Up near the entrance is a dump station which is accessible to any size RV. Each site has a picnic table and fire rings. The park roads and pads are all dirt and it can be loose and dusty. No hookups at the sites a restroom with showers is available. Managed by the Corp of Engineers (COE) the park is popular in season.
