Spanish Trail RV Park & Campground

This campground has magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. It's only 4 miles to downtown Moab, 9 miles to Arches National Park. Big, level, gravel sites on the main road which is unusually quiet. Great wifi, escort to site, laundry, clean restrooms.

We spent 3 nights here in Oct 2016. We arrived in Moab with no reservations and found every park full. Spanish Trail RV Park was able to get us in one of their "overflow" dry spots. Absolutely nothing fancy as it was a gravel back in site along the fence line right next to your neighbor. However, it was a place to stay and use as basecamp as we toured the area. No complaints as it was only $25 per night with jumpstation and water available. We did not use any facilities at the park.

We have been to 178 different RV parks here in the west over 17 years of part time RVing; many several times. For a multitude of reasons, some ethical, I would not recommend this one. (Editor note: we asked for specifics and received the following) First of all the WiFi. We have been to 178 different RV parks over 17 years part time RVing & probably have had WiFi at 150 of them. This was the worst of all. IF you got on, which was maybe 1-2% of the time you could be dumped of without notice. I just need it for short- but important -personal /business things. Owner could not even get on his hard wired "Guest" computer in the office area. The owners they tell you the whole town is having trouble with the server. Not true. I even took the laptop into town - several times - and had no problem getting on anywhere. They water at night. Fine. But to the point the water seriously runs under the RV - where we had put things so as not to get wet. Soaked them and the whole picnic table top, etc. Basically the whole site. So much water it never dried up under the fifth wheel in a week there. Six washing machines; three out of order. Road noise is horrific and intensified by entry of the side road across the highway with loud vehicles / motorcycles accelerating. Two trash barrels on the property - both way in the back on the property line.
