Scott County Park is a large, well-kept facility with diverse camping options—from paved RV loops to wooded primitive sites—and multiple picnic shelters, rentable cabins and a large pool with splash features. The park offers extensive trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding, ponds and fishing spots, playgrounds, and frequent wildlife sightings. Campgrounds and buildings are generally clean and maintained, and staff and hosts receive repeated praise. Practical tradeoffs include an occasionally clunky online reservation system, some uneven gravel pads at sites, and a few restroom areas that could use updating.
