What campers say
Scheck's Place is a rustic, riverside campground on the Boardman River popular for kayaking, canoe launches, trout fishing and trail riding. The site offers about 30 primitive sites with fire rings, vault/pit toilets and a hand-pump potable water source, plus a canoe launch and a fishing deck with wheelchair ramp. Many visitors praise the easy river access and nearby ORV/snowmobile trails, but several note minimal privacy between sites, occasional water-pump outages, and disruptive noise from other campers or passing vehicles. It's a good choice for activity-focused outings if you can tolerate limited privacy and possible nighttime noise.
