What campers say
Scarlett Knob Campground is a small, family-run spot with wooded, private-feeling sites, hand-stacked stone fire rings, and a handy camp store. It's close to Ohiopyle, the bike path and Fallingwater, making it a convenient base. Staff are generally friendly and helpful. Expect basic restroom facilities—pit latrines and coin showers are available, and cleanliness and shower reliability can be inconsistent. Sites can feel packed relatively close together and access roads may become slippery when wet (high-clearance or 4WD could help). Overall a peaceful, good-value campground for location and rustic charm over modern amenities.
