Our visit was a two night stay, our first ever trip, a “shakedown” run, so take our comments in the vein of we know not of what we speak. We made a reservation on the phone with Cecil who was pleasant, courteous and professional. We asked for a gravel pull through. As rain was predicted, Cecil recommended a cement slab but we declined. Upon arrival at 2pm a day or so later, we checked in at the office, face to face and requested a change to cement which they easily accommodated. The next day was nothing but solid rain. We stepped out during a brief break and realized our cement pad was a bit narrow as we almost stepped into the wet grass. Upon departure, our hookup area was muddy and puddled, to the point our sewer hookup was under water. Overall, the park was quiet, clean, well maintained and tidy. We saw plenty of dogs on leashes but no residuals laying around to step in. The bathouse area was nice and clean as was the area around the dumpster. We actually live close by so did not stay in the park for entertainment purposes, but we know it’s close to DFW attractions. The park is located directly behind an RV dealership so if you’re in need of repairs, keep this place in mind. We would stay again.

I am revising my previous review up one star after staying a few days at this park. There is a mix of short-term and long-term guests here but overall the environment is very quiet and peaceful. There is a hum from the highway but not overwhelming. The location is reasonably close to the Dallas and Fort Worth area with a straight shot down Interstate 35 to reach either one. The office staff is polite. They are not open on Sundays and that explains our poor check-in experience. There is a pool open seasonally and a catch-and-release pond located in the back. My son caught a fish with in 5 minutes making for a fun day. The park does get muddy in rain otherwise it is a nice spot.

This review is based upon my first impressions of this park. I’m writing this immediately after taking a site and setting up. We made reservations yesterday via the KOA website and had a confirmation. We arrived at 8 p.m. on a Sunday night and found the main office closed there was no information on the front window except for a sign that said the park was full sorry.

Self registration box was empty. Figured we’d ignore it and found a site anyways. Will see what they say tomorrow paid $35/night online.

Concrete roads and sites in front area are narrow and long. Packed gravel and gravel sites looked muddy Nd wet. Mosquitoes were aggressive and big.
