This campground has great views and great private tent sites with fences around them. Lots of cabins, common fire pit, pool, playground, laundry, lodge, coded restrooms, tables at each site, jump pad, store, deluxe sites. But the roads and sites are gravel and dusty, no shade and quite close together. Near Flaming Gorge and Pilot Butte Wild Horse trail. Not up to KOA standards.

What campers say
Rock Springs/Green River KOA Journey is a convenient overnight stop off I-80 with full hookups, a staffed store, laundry, and clean, recently updated shower houses. Sites are mostly gravel or paved with some private, large RV spots and a fenced dog play area; cabins are available but some lack private bathrooms, so consider that when booking. The campground is exposed — wind, dust and highway/train noise are common — though many visitors find it quiet at night. Staff are frequently praised as friendly and helpful. Good practical choice for a rest stop with basic amenities; don’t expect lush landscaping or a resort atmosphere.

Good lord thank you CampgroundViews.com for saving me from this place. The wife originally had us staying here but after perusing the site and finding out about Sweetwater Fairgrounds we stayed there instead. Stopped by here to see if I choose right and oh boy we did. We would have paid $40 to be packed in like sardines with the freeway noise and dust to welcome us. As noted in the description the tent sites were the best thing about this park. No way is it worth the money. being said if you do like KOAs it is not that bad. Just for us Sweetwater was the better choice.
