Located on Dead Stream Flooding along the Muskegon River with boat access/rental, fishing. Rustic campground includes vault toilets and potable water from well hand pump.

Reedsburg Dam State Forest delivers classic rustic camping with mature trees, waterfront sites and easy access to the dam, waterfalls and good fishing (including pike). Sites are generally level and well kept; some are more private while others sit close together and can accommodate tents or small campers but offer limited space for oversized rigs. Facilities are basic — vault toilets, hand-pump water and dumpsters — with no hookups or dump station; rangers visit but there is no on-site staff. Expect peaceful nights and wildlife viewing, but occasional generator noise, seasonal maintenance and winter access challenges.

Rustic campground next to the backwaters. There is a small dam which gives access to walk and fish from shore and downstream wadding. The backwaters contain alot of stumps and some log snags. You can kayak or use a small rowboat with oars. Fishing is fairly good for bluegills, sunfish and good size pike. Not much grass in the camping area, as it remains damp year round and has lots of shade. In rainy season (June-July) spots may flood. Can accomidate small campers and tents only. Night-time has gotten a little rowdy since 2021, since there is no Manager on site. The town of Houghton Lake is about 5 miles to the east and will have anything you need. Spicer's Boat City provides both summer and winter-time toys.
