Quoddy Head State Park offers dramatic coastal views centered on the iconic West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, the easternmost point of the contiguous U.S. The park features well‑maintained coastal and bog trails (peat bog with pitcher plants noted), good wildlife and seabird viewing, and plenty of parking with picnic facilities. Trails can be muddy at times but are generally easy to follow; some visitors note the lighthouse isn’t always open for tours. Restroom upkeep has been mentioned as a minor drawback. Entry operates on an honor/donation system. Overall, a scenic, less commercialized spot for hiking and shoreline viewing.
