Prior Flat Campground is a small, well-maintained, mostly quiet campground at the transition between sage prairie and timbered hills. Sites accommodate tents and RVs and typically include a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities are minimal; a vault toilet is provided but there is no potable water or electrical hookups, so bring supplies. The setting feels remote and peaceful with occasional wildlife sightings, and other campers are often sparse. Cell service can be hit-or-miss, and you may hear vehicle noise from the Shirley Mountain road. Good base for hunting or simple overnight stops.
