The campground is a family- and dog-friendly, wooded site with a strong sense of community and an accommodating owner and staff. Facilities are generally kept clean—communal bathhouses and showers—and accommodations range from rustic primitive cabins to tent and trailer sites. The small, calm lake is good for rowing, paddle boats and fishing, and organized activities plus playgrounds and courts keep kids occupied. Practical tradeoffs include uneven, narrow roads, some cabins without utilities and bathrooms a distance away, and occasional shower temperature/pressure issues. Overall it’s an affordable, relaxed spot for families who don’t need full modern amenities.
