What campers say
Pinney Bridge State Forest Campground is a quiet, rustic hike-in site popular with backpackers. Campsites are spaced and private, each with a fire ring and picnic table; vault toilets are generally kept clean and a hand-pump well provides water (may require priming). The campground is first-come, first-served and often fills by late afternoon; parking requires a recreation pass and involves roughly a half-mile walk from the lot to sites. Direct access to the North Country Trail, a nearby river and trout hatchery make it a good base for day hikes. Expect limited amenities and occasional insects and ticks.
