What campers say

One Mile Campground sits right across from the Taylor River and at the trailhead for Doctor Park, making it a convenient base for fishing, rafting, hiking and mountain biking. The small, well-maintained campground (about 25 sites) is praised for tidy pit restrooms, attentive hosts, and most sites offering electrical hookups; a few sites have fuller services. It’s roughly 20–30 minutes from Crested Butte. Practical tradeoffs include occasional road and motorcycle noise on Hwy 742 and intermittent water/dump availability, so plan ahead. Cell service is generally usable and the setting offers good mountain views and wildlife opportunities.
