Oliver Reservoir Campground is a mostly free, large-site reservoir campground with many waterfront spots, picnic tables, fire rings, potable water fill stations and a dump. A friendly, hands-on camp host (several visitors praised Karen) helps keep the area welcoming. Practical tradeoffs: sites are primitive—pit toilets/outhouses, no electrical hookups—and campers must pack out trash; donations are encouraged. The park is easy to access from the highway and allows stays up to 14 days. Visitors note occasional train noise and some late-night activity (generators or fireworks), so it can be lively at times.

Two boat ramps and docks, swimming beach, change houses, drinking water, vault toilets, picnic tables, shelters, grills, lighting and parking lots. the park is managed by the local Natural resource District having been handed over by state administrators.
