Oahe Downstream Recreation Area Campgrounds in Fort Pierre South Dakota offers camping in 3 campgrounds adjacent to a recreational lake. Ample outdoor activities. All sites have electric hookups and can accommodate most sized RVs. Camping fees are reasonable but for out of state visitors there is an additional charge. The campsites are set in a wooded setting. A family friendly location there are playgrounds a disc golf course and access to the river below the dam. For older kids there is a boat ramp for fishing and hunting during season. Advanced reservations can be made.
