What campers say
The campground is consistently described as very well maintained, with clean, modern restrooms and helpful staff. Sites tend to be spacious, wooded and offer good separation for privacy; some are lakeside with easy access for kayaking, swimming, and a pleasant loop trail. Trails and nearby McCauley Mountain are within easy reach, and Old Forge is a short bike or drive away for supplies. Facilities include a small playground and family-friendly amenities. Note that sites are generally primitive in utilities despite being large, and the beach/shore area restricts dogs, so pet owners should plan accordingly.
