Going into this park we didn't know really what we were getting into. Apparently it is under relatively new ownership who are doing a great job of cleaning up and improving the overall Park. The lake is absolutely beautiful and renting their canoes to paddle around is a must. The site we were assigned at first seemed narrow but once into the site was one of the biggest sites we have ever had! Many of the other campers have seasonal sites and all of the folks we ran into were very nice. In the future we may take a partial hookup site or even a primitive site out in the back area. That area, the primitive area, is stunning for a camp spot. It is a mix of Prairie and trees with plenty of room in between sites and amazing lighting in the morning and afternoon off the trees. They have an archery range and Laser Tag both of which were a lot of fun. The camp store is well stocked. I have nothing but positive things to say about this destination. It is very quiet at night and it appears that the other campers are very low key. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area this is a good option Verizon coverage is the only downside. Cell coverage is spotty and weak. Wi-Fi is available in the store

What campers say
Kayuta Lake Campground and Marina offers shaded, wooded sites, a well-maintained pool, and family-oriented amenities such as a playground, arcade, cabins, and a camp store. Hosts and staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful, and restrooms and common areas are generally clean. It's a short hike to the lake and the park runs regular weekend activities. Potential visitors should note reports of electrical problems and occasional power outages, plus crowded pools and busy weekends; some guests also reported disputes over refunds. Overall it suits families and groups seeking amenity-rich camping but be mindful of those tradeoffs.
