New River Junction offers scenic riverside camping with excellent access to tubing, fishing and family-friendly river floats, and many visitors praise the friendly, helpful staff. Sites sit close to the water and provide strong views and a relaxed, quiet feel in the evenings thanks to strict campground rules. Expect tradeoffs: trains run on both sides of the river and can be audible, bathhouses and showers are basic and sometimes limited, RV sites lack full sewer hookups, and on-site services (shuttle/tram for longer floats and campground firewood) can add extra cost. Cell and Wi‑Fi service may be spotty.
