Adjacent to the summit road that winds a steep path through mixed hardwoods to a parking lot at an elevation of 2,800 feet in a saddle between the south peak and summit.

A seasonal auto road (toll) provides easier access and multiple pull‑offs for low‑effort vistas, and is popular with drivers and runners when closed to cars. Trails are well maintained with steps and erosion control, ranging from moderate family‑friendly routes to steeper scramble sections; waterfalls along some paths are seasonal. Campground facilities are clean, with cabins and dry camping (generators allowed). Practical tradeoffs: the upper road can be rough and restroom locations near the summit are not always obvious.
