McHood State Park Camping Area near Winslow Arizona provides primitive tent and RV camping in a city run (Winslow) but state owned park. Originally known as a free spot to camp there are now fees for day use and camping. Located 6 miles off the interstate a swimming hole is available along with meandering trails through the desert landscape. First come first served it is noted that this spot is used (or misused) by locals and we recommend being alert of your surroundings. Located near the highway
