McGill Campground offers spacious, well‑maintained sites with clean restroom facilities, broad views and easy access to trails and mountain‑bike routes. Hosts are generally friendly and helpful (they sell firewood and assist with fees), and the loop is often quiet even on weekends. Practical tradeoffs: there’s no potable water on site, campfire rules can change (propane may be allowed with a permit), and nights can be windy. Some sites sit close to popular trails, so expect occasional foot or bike traffic. Bring your own water, cash for amenities, and be prepared for mountain weather.

📖 About This Campground
McGill Campground is located on Mount Pinos 13 miles west of Frazier Park California and a one hour drive from the greater Los Angeles area. The campground is open from mid-April through mid-November and offers 78 family campsites for tents and RVs. There are also 2 group campsites; one accommodates up to 60 people and the other one accommodates up to 80 people. US Forest Service owned and managed by concessionaire.
