Maupin City Park is a small, riverfront campground on the Deschutes that works well for rafting, kayaking, fishing and cycling. Management is consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the park offers RV hookups, group sites and tent areas with potable water. Restrooms and coin showers are clean and available during stays. Practical tradeoffs include closely spaced tent pads that can reduce privacy and occasional train noise across the river. Overall it’s a convenient, well-maintained base for river outings, especially for groups and RVers who value easy river access and basic, tidy facilities.
