Very nice city owned campground with some great campground hosts. The full hookups are all backins and easy to get into with any size rig. The pull thrus are partial hookup and not level front to back (at all). Scenic river, awesome looking water park, and multi-use trail are all accessible from this location. Price was reasonable ($25) and Verizon 4G worked so we were happy.

MacNider Campgrounds is a well‑kept, convenient city park campground with concrete full‑hookup sites suitable for big rigs, gravel/electric sites and tent areas. Grounds, facilities and staff are frequently described as clean, friendly and helpful, with coin laundry, restrooms/showers (also storm shelter), a playground and easy access to a nearby aquatic center, river trails and downtown. Practical tradeoffs include relatively close site spacing and occasional noise from the adjacent water park or nearby train. A few visitors reported distant sewer hookups or intermittent shower cleanliness issues, so ask about hookup placement when reserving.
