Owners and staff are described as welcoming; the grounds are mowed and quiet, with river access across the road and good stargazing/eclipse viewing. The park accommodates large rigs, pets, kids and occasionally horses, and sometimes hosts a food truck or live music. Tradeoffs include motorcycle traffic on nearby roads that can be noisy and some sites with distant hookups or minor water-box issues, so plan hookups accordingly.

Packed gravel roads and parking pads the park is adjacent to Lost Maples Country Store with gas/diesel/propane. From the park: Lost Maples RV and Camping Park is a small rural getaway park in the prettiest area of the Texas Hill Country. We have cabins, camping, RV spots, a rental house, and Sabinal River access. Whether you're looking for a vacation getaway, romantic weekend, hunting and fishing, summer relaxation, or a place to see the Milky Way, we can offer you comfort, scenery, wildlife, and local destinations. Located in Vanderpool, Texas, we are at the crossroads of FM 187 and FM 337. Full of hills, canyons, hollows, rivers, and scenic roads, this area is known for fall foliage and country drives. The Crossroads is near the beginning of the well-known Twisted Sisters motorcycle ride: three roads (FMs 335, 336, and 337) full of twists and turns, that draw riders from throughout Texas and beyond.
