Lone Fir Resort is a family-oriented, clean resort with friendly staff, on-site restaurant/café/bar, a gift shop and a coffee stand. Accommodations include cabins and rooms with microwaves, fridges and AC; guests note comfortable beds and well-maintained grounds. Onsite family amenities include a pool, playground, clubhouse arcade and mining/Bigfoot-themed activities, and the location works well as a base for exploring Ape Caves, Mount St. Helens and nearby Yale Park swim access. Practical tradeoffs: the area is remote (limited supplies nearby) and seasonal road closures or holiday crowds can affect access and quiet. Overall a convenient, welcoming spot for family stays.
