Little Sioux Park is a small, well-maintained park offering river and lake access, easy put-in spots for kayaks and paddleboat rentals, and a network of trails popular with hikers and cyclists. Campground areas include shaded, level sites with some full hookups and rentable cabins that are roomy for families. The beach and shallow water are kid-friendly, and playgrounds add family appeal. Park staff are described as helpful. Note occasional tradeoffs: summer heat can be extreme, fishing may be slow, and parts of the lakeside camping area have undergone renovations; dogs are restricted on the beach.
