What campers say

Little Jimmy Trail Camp is a scenic, well-used high-country campground with developed sites, metal bear boxes, pit toilets and an often-running spring nearby, making it a convenient base for hikes such as Islip Peak. Access requires a short hike from various trailheads (reports range from about 0.6 miles to a few miles depending on route) and the access road is rough. Sites are generally first-come, first-served and can fill on weekends or when groups pass through, so expect crowds and occasional noise. Winters and late springs may still have deep snow. Bring a trowel and plan for basic, sometimes messy facilities.
