About this campground
What campers say
Alpine Meadow Campground is a convenient, well‑maintained option near Truckee and the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Sites are generally spacious, flat and shaded with bear boxes, fire rings and potable water spigots; restrooms are basic vault/pit facilities that are kept clean. There are no hookups or dump station. A few sites are uneven or tight for large rigs, so trailers and big RVs may have limited options. You may hear occasional plane or train noise due to nearby transport, and weekends can be livelier; overall it’s good value for easy access to town and Tahoe.
