Lake Tamarisk Desert Resort is a quiet, well-kept desert campground with a strong community feel. Guests commonly praise friendly staff and residents, peaceful surroundings, a saltwater pool, hot tub and maintained golf course, and spacious sites with pleasant lake or desert views. It's an easy short detour off I-10 for travelers. Tradeoffs include a largely long-term/mobile-home community with a limited number of transient sites and few nearby stores within a 15-mile radius. On-site connectivity options appear limited, though some visitors report reliable Verizon service. Overall a good choice for relaxation and access to the desert.
