Lake Gaston Americamps is a well-kept, family-friendly campground with easy lake access and a variety of on-site activities. Guests commonly praise clean bathhouses, friendly staff and a tight-knit community atmosphere. Amenities include rustic cabins with A/C and a small fridge, a swimming pool, playground, miniature golf, arcade, nightly stage entertainment and a community store; there’s also a boat ramp and occasional food truck. Practical tradeoffs noted by some visitors: a number of long-term sites can give a park-like look, cabins have limited outlets, a few arcade machines may be unreliable, and the road approach has some bumps.
