Lake Barkley State Resort Park offers strong access to the lake, wildlife and nearby Land Between the Lakes recreation. Many guests praise friendly, helpful staff, lakefront views and a well-kept pool and fitness center. Expect tradeoffs: the lodge and cottages have been undergoing major renovations so dining and lodging spaces can be closed or feel dated; reports describe both updated rooms and older, worn units.
