What campers say

Kumeyaay Lake Campground is a well-kept, family-friendly spot centered on a small lake with wooded, semi-secluded sites and a short loop trail. Restrooms and free showers are frequently praised for cleanliness and good water pressure. Park hosts are generally helpful, though some visitors find ranger enforcement strict. Practical tradeoffs include a locked gate or limited late-entry flexibility, occasional nearby construction or small aircraft noise, and a few confusing trail signs. Overall it’s a convenient, peaceful campground for short stays and lake-side walks if you can accept possible urban noise and arrival-time constraints.
