The area supports wildlife such as deer, squirrels, native fish, black bear and migratory birds.
This campground is a popular base camp location for hunting, fishing, and OHV riders. There are a plethora of trails for dirt bikes, jeeps, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding near this campground.

What campers say

Kaner Flat Campground sits in a forested riverside setting with paved roads, roomy paved trailer sites, and many shaded, level campsites. It’s reservable and family-friendly, with a camp host, vault/pit toilets, dumpster, and some frost-free water points/hand pump — potable water appears limited so bring or treat drinking water. River access and nearby trails are highlights, and sites can accommodate groups and multiple vehicles for an extra fee. Expect little-to-no cell service and occasional timber-thinning work that can leave parts of the campground looking messy; site spacing also varies.
