About this campground
What campers say
A small, scenic campground along the American River. Sites are generally roomy and many back up to the river, with a day-use area, gazebo and sturdy fire rings. There is no potable water or showers; vault toilets are the only facilities and their condition and availability can vary. Some sites have posts, stumps or tight turns that make backing or parking larger rigs awkward—most visitors fit under about 30 feet but site choice matters. Cell service is limited; nearest gas/ice is a drive away. In summer expect insects (including yellowjackets in some seasons). Overall quiet and picturesque with basic amenities.
