📖 About This Campground

Juniper Park Campground in Ririe Idaho offers RV and tent camping adjacent to Ririe Reservoir and Recreation area. The county run public campground provides reservation and first come first served RV and tent camping sites with full, partial and primitive hookups. There are a mix of backin and pull thru sites all situated around 3 "loops" (Loop c is a one way road) with paved roads and paved parking pads. The county keeps the areas around the campsites very well manicured with watered, sprinklers run during the week at night, and mowed grass, trimmed trees and an overall well kept ambiance. Situated 1.5 miles off US 26 between 20 miles east of Idaho Falls and about 90 miles from Jackson WY. A "hidden gem" as many folks will refer to it the park is very reasonably priced and primarily used by locals who boat, fish or ski, on the Ririe Reservoir on weekends. Friday and Saturday nights can be crowded otherwise during the week the campground is lightly traveled and a perfect place to relax and camp. The reservoir is popular for boating and recreation. An Idaho Fishing License is required to fish the waters. This area of Idaho regularly has a steady wind, as evident by the windmill electric plant across the ridge (otherside of the lake). this wind keeps bugs down but does require tent campers to properly secure tents to the ground.

Great value, free use of the boat ramp for campground guests. Spectacular sunsets and views of the lake.

Camping Pro

$25 per night 14 day max stay with full hookups. Absolutely amazing campground. We stayed for 1 week in both a pull thru and then backin site. Picnic table and fire ring at site. Peaceful, quiet, and lovely. Well worth a stay. Verizon 4g was solid. Great bike ride heading north on th e the road out front. Any size rv will fit. Will stay again.

A Hidden Gem for a County Campground Most recent stay was 8/04/16 - I'm "late" in posting my review ~ We camp in a "Tear Drop” style RV only 15' long w/o toilet or shower ~ plus we like to eat outdoors using the picnic table and set up our dining canopy for sun and weather protection and thus rely on condition of campgrounds facilities and being nearby our site ~ so our critique is focused in that area Overall this park has nice facilities; 3 loops with paved roads and sites which are very nicely spaced-out and mixed together with grass & juniper bushes. It has flush toilets and spacious showers in every loop. The showers have dated and annoying spray heads but decent water pressure w/hot water and a bench in changing area. All are kept clean. No dump station however, and no hooks or shelves in shower stalls or community sink area – air dryers only no paper towels for you to clean up the sinks after use. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring with lots of room between them and all sit on top of relatively flat plateau above the reservoir. some sites have very little shade (the juniper bushes provide spots of low-lying shade for the sitting area), but limited shade for the RV & it can get very hot in summer. Many sites have full hookups (either 30 or 50 amp/water/sewer), plus prices are outstanding. Overnight Camping Fees: $10.00 tent area and dry dock camping (only $18 for FHU!). ($2.00 discount for Idaho State Parks and Recreation Golden Age pass holders) Most sites have no view of the water except for sites 10,12,14 This park is way out there near the Juniper Dam Recreation Area; very quiet, about 20 mi from Idaho Falls where you can shop for groceries and eat at restaurants.
