What campers say
Juneau County Wilderness Park offers spacious, well‑maintained campsites set in wooded and lakeside areas. Back sites feel private and quiet, while lakeshore sites can be busy on summer weekends. Clean restrooms and coin‑operated showers are available; expect to bring quarters. Trails are groomed and there’s a decent boat ramp and fishing/swimming access, though algae and bugs/ticks can affect lake use in warm months. Staff and camp hosts are helpful and the park is family- and pet-friendly. Some sites are far from the central bathhouse and a few shore sites lack direct kayak launch access.
