What campers say
Interstate State Park offers scenic river and cliff views, well-maintained trails, and notable glacial potholes. Facilities and signage are clean and clear, with accessible restrooms, a convenient boat launch, and kayak rentals and shuttle information available. Park staff are reported as helpful, and several short to moderate hikes (with steps and rocky sections) provide many overlooks. Parking is larger at the south/ranger station lot than the northern river lot, and the site can get busy on weekends—weekdays are quieter. In winter, traction devices are recommended as trails may be icy. Overall a compact, well-kept park with strong recreational options.
