Set on a pretty lake on the Gunflint Trail, Hungry Jack Lodge & Campground is praised for its friendly staff, clean cabins, and a lively bar/restaurant that serves well-regarded pizza and stays open late. Visitors enjoy canoe and boat rentals, fishing, a small beach and sauna, plus hot showers. The campground has relatively few, closely spaced sites (not ideal for big rigs) and no on-site laundry; fuel is available but often pricey. Some guests note biting horseflies and occasional loose dogs on the property. Access is via a well-maintained gravel road and the atmosphere is generally quiet and dark at night.
