What campers say
Horton Creek Campground is a BLM, off-grid site with roughly 40–50 campsites offering sweeping eastern Sierra views, a creek, and dark skies for stargazing. Sites range from tent spots to pull-through RV pads and are first-come, first-served with a 14-day limit; nightly fees are low (about $10, with senior/BLM pass discounts) and a dump station is available for a fee. Vault toilets are reported clean but potable water and shade are limited, so bring supplies. The open location can be hot and windy in summer. Occasional wildlife sightings have been reported, so practice normal campsite caution.
