Heritage Village Campground sits just off the highway near Crazy Horse and offers very affordable rates, clean bathrooms, showers and laundry, and helpful staff. Many visitors praise the scenic Black Hills views, full hookups and convenient dump station, making it a practical overnight or short-stay stop after Mount Rushmore. As a tradeoff, some guests reported occasional power limitations during busy holiday weekends, tight site geometry for large rigs, and intermittent issues such as feral cats, flies or lodging quirks (locks/linens). Overall it’s a budget-friendly, well-kept option if you’re prepared for occasional minor inconveniences.
